Design and construction of scoreboards for the iconic MCG Stadium.
Outdoor Elements was contracted directly by the MCC as the head contractor for the scoreboard rebuild project. We worked closely with the MCC project team and their engineers – Aurecon, to redefine the scope of works for the structural component of the project which delivered a significant saving to the MCC. The project required the dismantling of the existing scoreboards and advertising panels and structural members. We then proceeded to erect and commission the new displays – 1 at the west end and 1 at the east end of the stadium. The project increased the size of the scoreboards by more than 3 times the previous display size. 2 scoreboards – 25mW x 14mH each
